For the last few days, there was an uproar in the market over the change in pension to Rs 10,000 under the Atal Pension Yojana.
Is the government going to do a pension of Rs. 10,000 under Atal Pension Yojana in 2023?
Giving an answer to this question, Union Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad replied, that if there is any increase in the pension amount under the Atal Pension Yojana. Then, there will be an additional burden on the people.
By doing this, the amount of installment to be invested by the account holder will also increase. Therefore, the government is not going to consider any such proposal now.
Atal Pension Yojana
Under the Atal Pension Yojana, there is a provision that you start getting a pension from ₹ 1000 to ₹ 5000 after the age of 60 years. But there was a demand to increase it to ₹ 10,000.
But the government has refused to take any such step, and now the things that were earlier prescribed under the Atal Seva Pension Yojana will be followed.
Recent changes in Atal Pension Yojana
Under the Atal Pension Yojana, some changes were made in October 2022 / under which it was also ensured that if you file an income tax return, you will not be able to contribute to the Atal Seva Pension Yojana.
Along with this, the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) recommended to the Ministry of Finance that the pension should be increased.
Government reply on the increase of the Atal Pension scheme
On this, the government replied that if we do this, then the installment will increase and they will have to pay more money every month. Due to this, the government rejected this appeal.
Starting of Atal Pension Yojana
Atal Pension Yojana was started for the workers working in the unorganized sector. Under this scheme, you will have to invest in it from the age of 18 to 40 years. And when you are 60 years old, then after that you will be provided a pension ranging from ₹ 1000 to ₹ 5000 every month.
